ICARE’s 4th Annual Buddy Bass Tournament

ICARE will be hosting their 4th Annual Buddy Bass Fishing Tournament on October 28th, 2023.

Fishing hours: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location:  Greers Ferry Lake – Devils Fork Tournament Center
Entry fee: $150 per boat, $10 of entry goes to big bass pot

1. Participants and eligibility – One member of each team must be at least 18 years of age
2. ALL local, state and federals rules and regulations apply to each individual angler
3. Kill switches MUST be in use and will be tested at takeoff when boat number is called and drive by live well check is
   performed
4. Coast Guard approved life jackets/vests MUST be worn and zipped/buttoned any time boat is on plane
5. ALL anglers are to observe the golden rule of high standards of sportsmanship. NO fishing with in 50 yards of another
   angler without the permission of said angler whether competitor or not
6. No alcoholic beverages or non-prescription stimulants allowed during tournament hours
7. Artificial lures only with exception of pork trailers
8. No more than 5 fish in live well at weigh in
9. All fish becomes property of ICARE and will be released
10. Trolling is not allowed
11. 5 fish limit – 12 inch largemouth, smallmouth, meanmouth & spotted (Kentucky)
12. Short fish being brought to weigh in penalty is loss of short fish plus ½ pound
13. ½ pound penalty for dead fish
14. Weigh in is at 3:00 pm. ALL boats should be inside buoy by 3:00 pm. 1 pound penalty per minute with disqualification
    after 10 minutes
15. Ties will be broken by earliest boat number. Big bass ties will be broken by largest creel weight
16. A polygraph test may be administered to any contestant at the discretion of the tournament director/committee

Rules are subject to change with state game laws. Officials of tournament will make the final decisions regarding all
rules, rule changes and interpretation of said rules and any protests.
