Terms of the ICARE Spay & Neuter Compliance Statement
- This agreement is a legally binding contract set forth by the State of Arkansas ACT 839 effective July 1, 1995, stating that spaying or neutering will be done within the time frame decided by Izard County Animal Rescue Effort. Additionally, proof of rabies vaccination will be required at the end of this time period.

- Adult animals must be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption.
- Puppies or kittens must be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age.
- The State of Arkansas also requires a rabies vaccination given by a licensed veterinarian.
- Sterilization is to be done by a veterinarian of your choice at your expense. ICARE does, however, reimburse $30 towards the cost of sterilization for dogs and $10 for cats. Upon completion of the surgery, please mail us a copy of your veterinarian′s invoice to receive your reimbursement check.
- Proof of sterilization and rabies vaccination must be returned by the date stated in your agreement.
