Every penny ICARE receives goes directly to the care of the animals.  A great deal of expense is involved in retrieving or receiving abandon animals, medical costs, spay and neuter, shelter, food, and more.

Izard County Animal Rescue Effort is an approved 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt organization.  Contributions are used solely for the purpose of providing compassionate care for animals in Izard County and are tax deductible according to federal regulations.

    ICARE excepts cash donations via paypal or you drop it off at the Paws & Claws Thrift Store at 189 S Lunen St in Melbourne.

  • Donate items through Amazon′s Wish List

    Amazon offers a feature known as a “Wish List”

    which is a great tool for supporting local animal shelters like ICARE. This platform enables shelters to curate a list of much-needed items, allowing donors to easily find and donate these essentials directly. Using Amazon’s Wish List for donations simplifies the process, making it a convenient way to help animals in need.

    To donate to ICARE through Amazon, simply explore ICARE’s WISH LIST and choose the items you’d like to donate. After you place your order, the items will be sent directly to ICARE, ensuring your contribution makes a direct impact.

  • Donate Items to the Paws & Claws Thrift Store

    Donate items to the Paws & Claws Thrift Store at 136 S Lunen Street in Melbourne.  We accept donations 24/7.

    Please note: We do not accept electronics, large furniture or food items.

    Also DO NOT DROP OFF ABANDONED PETS at the thrift store.  If you have found an abandon animal, please contact us at  (870)368-5000.

  • Save-A-Label

    ICARE is a member of Best’s Choice’s Save-A-Label program.  This progam gives community organzations, such as ICARE, an easy way for their community to contribute.  Simply buy a Best Choice Product at your favorite grocer and save the UPC (proof of purchase).  Once ICARE collects 1000 labels, we can send them in for a cash donation from Best Choice.
