Our Organization
ICARE, short for Izard County Animal Rescue Effort, is a non-profit organization devoted to compassionate animal care and improving the lives of animals in need. Founded in 2002, ICARE was established to provide care, relief, and a brighter future for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in Izard County.
Since its inception, ICARE has been powered entirely by volunteers. These selfless individuals work around the clock, driven by a shared passion for animal welfare. From fostering and medical care to finding loving homes for animals, every aspect of ICARE’s operations reflects the dedication of its volunteers. Their efforts ensure that animals in need receive the care they deserve to heal and thrive.
ICARE’s impact goes beyond rescue and adoption. The organization actively supports spaying and neutering programs, community education, and outreach to prevent overpopulation and reduce the number of animals in need. Thanks to the unwavering support of its volunteers and the local community, ICARE continues to be a beacon of hope for animals and their future families.
