One day, out of the blue, I got a call. They needed a foster parent for a small dog that had a rough time. I agreed, no hesitation. That Thursday marked the start of something special.
A Little Fighter
The dog was in a bad state: fleas, ticks, and way too thin. The heat didn’t help either. But this pup was friendly, despite the tough times. I could see its spirit even in its tiredness.
Helping Hands
First order of business was to make sure she got water and food pronto. A couple of baths got rid of the fleas and ticks, and some meds sorted out its health. ICARE provided everything we needed to care for her. This dog’s energy bounced back fast. It was like watching a star rise.
Healing Time
Off to the vet for a spaying job. A night away was tough, but it had to be done. Back home, we kept it easy so it could heal up well. The dog’s patience amazed me, and it handled everything like a champ.

My friend caught sight of this dog online. They wanted to adopt it. I was stoked. A chance for a new beginning for this dog.
A Happy Ending
A trial night turned into a forever home. The dog fit in like a puzzle piece. I got a text full of joy – the dog found its family. What a win!
